Connecting you to health and happiness through herbal medicine
Supporting women’s health naturally
Working with women is my passion.
I believe that herbal medicine is uniquely positioned to support our changing cycles, hormonal shifts and the stresses modern life places on our bodies.
Throughout the world, herbal medicine has been used for millennia and that knowledge has often been held by women as midwives and healers. We have been the medicine makers and the wisdom keepers.
Our survival has always depended upon our relationship with the natural world. We have evolved alongside plants, learning to use their medicinal gifts wherever we have settled around the world.
Scientific studies continue to show the complexity of plants and the healing potential of their constituents. Many modern and commonly used pharmaceutical drugs are derived from the plant realm.
Herbal medicine draws on both traditional knowledge and scientific understanding to support health.
Just like plants, we are all complex and individual, shaped by our environment. I listen to you, to the story behind symptoms and work to treat the root causes of illness and imbalance, choosing the medicinal plants that are best suited to you alongside diet and lifestyle advice.
About me
I trained at leading herbal medicine schools in the UK. During my 5 years of study, I learnt anatomy, physiology, pathology , clinical examination and practice alongside the safe use of medicinal plants to support health. I completed 600 clinical hours with a range of herbal practitioners to broaden my clinical experience. I qualified in 2022 with a distinction.
I am a member and director of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, the UK’s leading professional body for herbal practitioners.
I have always wanted to support women’s health. Before herbal medicine, I worked as a television producer and travelled the world, spending time in many different communities. Often the only woman in the crew, I would find myself drawn into female spaces and company. I saw and learnt so much from the Artic to the Amazon about women’s lives and health.
I found a new calling in my herbal medicine practice.
My continuing professional development is focussed on women health, deepening my understanding and amazement of our bodies.
At the heart of my clinical practice are not only the people but also the plants I work with. I grow and harvest medicinal plants from my herb garden as well as the fields and hedgerows around me here in West Wales.
Knowing the plants I work with and where they come from is key to me as our own health depends on that of the natural world.
